GOPHER SEARCH ENGINES

Two search engines are in existence now for the Gopher. They are Veronica and Jughead. These search engines are used muchless than those on the World Wide Web, but to use them go to a Gopher page to find them. They too use keywords to search for the documents you are wanting to find.

Although the World Wide Web Search engines may bring up gopher sites, the Gopher does not search for World Wide Web documents.

Veronica

Jughead

Jughead was developed as an alternative to cut down the time used on the Internet.It searches for only directory titles.
